Jaci's Tree Lodge Location
Jaci's Tree Lodge comprises eight "Tree Houses", each encompassing a giant Tambotie or Leadwood Tree. Relax on the deck in front of your room, in the main lodge or wander to the forest pool to cool off. Raised wooden walkways, suspended in the forest canopy lining the banks of the Marico River, connect to the extraordinary Jaci's tree Lodge and its generous facilities in the Madikwe Game Reserve.

Jaci's Tree Lodge Accommodation
Each "Tree House" is constructed amongst the riverine forest on stilts, up to 6 meters above the ground. In these spacious "Tree Houses" - built by utilizing a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors - the forest surrounds are invited in, to compliment your stay. An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor "Jungle Shower" allow you to enjoy your forest surrounds.
Weddings and honeymoons
Jaci's provides outstanding venues, complete with a team of people to ensure your special day is hassle free. At Jaci's we assist you in planning the perfect day. We have catered for several weddings from 80 to 5 guests, each created around the individual needs of the wedding couple.
Our wedding package includes our usual daily activities and meals. The extra details (flowers, pastor, photographer, etc.) are privately arranged and we can assist once everything is at the lodge. Contact us directly for more details, information and inspiration. At Jaci's we can accommodate 36 adults (between Safari and Tree Lodge) which allows two different venues for the ceremony and for the reception.
Activities
Guests will enjoy daily morning and afternoon game drives and, rates include all meals and two game activities per day, tea and coffee, house drinks and laundry. Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own Game Drive during the day by one of our rangers - this is a kiddie's drive and
is geared totally to the children's interests and age level
Wildlife
Lion, elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, leopard - Big Five - also cheetah and wild dog - Magnificent seven.
Giraffe, zebra, warthog, baboon, monkey, hippo, crocodile, and a variety of antelope including kudu, impala, waterbuck, Springbok, Wildebeest, Eland, Blesbok, Tsessebe and Steenbok are regularly seen, along with a number of the more elusive or less common animals. With a bird population of over 250 different species. Bring your binoculars!
Access
Madikwe Game Reserve can be accessed by road or by daily departure - air charter departing from Grand Central Airport. The reserve is approximately three and a half hours drive from Johannesburg. Guests would route via Zeerust before proceeding north on the Gaborone road and use two entries Abjaterskop and Wonderboom Gate.
Child Policy
Children are most
welcome at Jaci's Lodges and special provisions are made for them
including tailored game-drives, baby-sitting services during morning
game drives (no under 7's on normal game drives) and earlier evening
meals. Children aged 12 and under are comfortably accommodated
in their parents' room on their own stretcher.
